Getting to Know One Another

I keep waiting for the "honeymoon period" to wear off, BUT all in all, I have a great bunch of kids. They all are super sweet and seem to be on top of things. Meet the Teacher is tomorrow night where parents can come and hear about our class and the expectations for the students. I should have a great turnout and can't wait to get to know more of my students' families. We started interviewing students with "King and Queen of the Day" and are finding out lots about our classmates. I have always done student interviews, but added the name to it by making simple crowns out of glittery border. I got this idea from a fellow colleague, Sara Payton, a kindergarten teacher in the district! The kids love it!
